Colorado Cold Warriors
Before being deployed to Viet Nam in 1968, the Colorado Air National Guard's 120th Tactical Fighter Squadron flew these colorful North American F-100Cs from Buckley Field Colorado. The Viet Nam War brought an end to bare metal and bright colors and creative unit and aircrew markings on USAF tactical aircraft and a move from air defense and nuclear bombs to the air to ground pounding mission. F -100s were very effective in this role if not very exciting in the Southeast Asia Camouflage.
