Flying Red Horse

 

This painting was featured in the spring 2021 issue of Golden Pylons, The Journal of Air Racing Historians and the January 2022 issue of Air Classics Magazine. 

 

This painting depicts Chuck Tucker flying his beautiful race #30 Bell P-63C King Cobra during the 1946 Bendix cross country race. Though the racer was very eye catching with it's P-38 wingtip drop tanks installed, it was only able to garner a seventh-place finish.
