In April 1946, Douglas delivered this beautiful DC-3D to The Texas Company (Texaco). It was the 10,655th and last Douglas built aircraft in the DC-3 family. This corporate work horse was the "Lear Jet" of its day. 

 

Recipiant of a third place award  in the "general" category at the 2016 American Society of Aviation Artists exhibition.
