In 1968 Charles Willis, then CEO for Alaska Airlines, purchased this Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat. Thinking it would make a good marketing tool, he had it painted in Alaska's  "Golden Nugget " livery, adding the name "Little Nugget" to the vertical tail. He flew it out of Paine Field in Everett, WA for two years. Here it is shown keeping a safe distance from a nasty storm over the nearby North Cascades.
