Lothar Von Richthofen

Though not as well-known as his brother Manfred, Lothar was an accomplished fighter pilot in his own right, scoring 40 aerial victories during his service with the German Air Force in WWI. I depicted him in what is perhaps his most well-known aircraft, a Fokker DVII , having just scored a victory over a British SE5. Manfred was killed in a flying accident after the war at the age of 27.
