The Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum's founder - the late, great, Paul Allen, was well known for his insistence that all his restored aircraft and armor set the standard for accuracy and quality. At the time of this painting, the FH&CAM Goodyear FG-1D Corsair was a fully operational, magnificent restoration of a legitimate combat veteran. This WWII period painting shows the still shiny aircraft loaded with eight 5" unguided rockets and one 1,000 pound bomb preparing to depart at Mindanao in the Philippines Islands.
