In this fictional scene, United States Forest Service fire fighters guide a pair of Grumman Avenger fire bombers onto a fire next to a rural highway. The passengers of the bus and other vehicles can't resist a close up view of the action. Luckily, they are upwind of the thousands of pounds of pink fire suppressant "slurry" being dropped. The modified war surplus torpedo bombers were operated by Sierra Aviation, flown out of Porterville, California.
